The mission of the Johnson Creek School District's School Counseling program is to prepare students to be life long learners and productive community members by helping students understand themselves, their academic growth, and career goals.
The Johnson Creek School Counseling Department believes that all students can be successful and that a School Counseling program is an essential and integral part of the overall education process.
The School Counseling program at Johnson Creek High School is planned and coordinated by a state-certified School Counselor along with other school staff and community members. The program provides academic, career, and personal/social development for every student. Various assessments are used to develop and continually evaluate the effectiveness of the program.
Students and families will receive the most professional services possible; therefore, the Johnson Creek School Counselor will abide by the code of ethics as advocated by the American School Counselor Association. Additionally, the School Counselor will participate in ongoing professional development activities designed to increase and enhance the performance of his/her duties within the school community.
We are a learning community devoted to helping and inspiring every student to realize his/her full potential by providing a variety of learning experiences in a safe, supportive, challenging, and mutually respectful environment.
